WHO WE ARE

Central Pain Syndrome Alliance began  as  a group of CPS sufferers [POST-STROKE] who first began to come together in May 1999. In my 5th year post stroke it finally dawned in my mind that not all strokees felt these sensations/pains...[up to 15% could].... up until then I thought most strokees did. Then I finally realized that we experiencing this stroke affect, should get together and be a support and informational group for each other. I began to find as many central post-stroke pain  people as possible. As we learned that not just strokees fell into this neuropathic  pain affect, we  began to reach out to the other conditions and diseases in the hope we could make a difference of educating the world and in mass,  plea to researchers to find relief for the multitudes that suffer central pain.

We welcome all sufferers, loved ones, and professionals who are concerned with this pain condition. Someday, by working together there will be the right answers for everyone.
